Despite all the controversies surrounding it, Adah Sharma’s performance in the lead role has allowed The Kerala Story to reach another milestone
Sharma recently posted a poster on her Instagram account that read “1st female film to cross net collection India 200 CR”
She later wrote “The best things in life are unexpected – because there were no expectations” on her post, expressing her emotions toward the achievement, according to India Today.
At 31 years old, Sharma thanked the film’s producers, Vipul and Sudipto, and said, “Thank you audience for making this happen.”
Before its release in theatres, The Kerala Story received backlash, with some accusing the film of being propaganda. Though the film did receive some criticism, some viewers praised it as well.
