Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Sirajul Haq, who narrowly escaped a suicide attack on his convoy in Balochistan’s Zhob, has expressed his invincible attitude towards death. The suicide bomber detonated himself right next to Haq’s unarmored vehicle, however, Haq remained unharmed along with others present in the vehicle.

It has been reported that the attack caused injuries to at least seven people, four of whom were severely injured. Footage from the scene revealed smoke rising close to the vehicle in which Sirajul Haq was traveling, and the dead body of the attacker was visible following the clearing of the smoke.

Despite the incident, Haq addressed the scheduled public gathering and spoke about the ongoing inflation and economic situation in the country. He blamed the present authorities for the situation and urged people to choose well-informed representatives to lead the country towards prosperity.

JI spokesman Qaiser Sharif confirmed minor damage to several vehicles during the attack.
