Aimal Wali Khan, the provincial president of the Awami National Party (ANP), announced on Sunday that the party’s central and provincial leadership will participate in a protest sit-in organized by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) in front of the Supreme Court Building on Monday.
The ANP leader clarified that some private channels had mistakenly aired the statement of the ANP spokesperson regarding the party’s non-participation in the PDM’s protest against the chief justice of Pakistan. He further added that the PDM formally invited ANP’s leadership to participate and they will fully support tomorrow’s protest in Islamabad. Aimal also stated that the ANP will devise a strategy to counter the perceived one-sided decision of the incumbent chief justice regarding a particular political party and its leader.
