Blake Shelton, the American country music singer-songwriter, was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His wife, Gwen Stefani, was present at the ceremony alongside his former co-stars from The Voice, Carson Daly, and Adam Levine.
Following the ceremony, Shelton spoke to Fox News Digital and was effusive in his praise for his wife. He said, “Well, nothing’s official to me unless Gwen is a part of it.” He went on to describe how the moment would have felt ‘empty’ without her presence and that he would have ensured that the ceremony coincided with a date when she would be available to attend, if need be.
During his speech, Shelton also acknowledged that Stefani was always his ‘end-goal’ and that he stopped checking things off his list of accomplishments after marrying her. He described getting a star on the Walk of Fame as ‘just the icing on the cake,’ and that Stefani will always be the ‘greatest thing that’s happened along this journey.’
Stefani’s children, Zuma Rossdale, Apollo Rossdale, and Kingston Rossdale, also came to support their stepdad. Stefani, who was previously in a relationship with Gavin Rossdale, expressed her admiration for Shelton, describing him as a ‘rare human being’ and remaining the same person despite his success.
