A blast has hit a convoy close to Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Emir Siraj Ul Haq as he was travelling to address a rally in the city of Zhob in Balochistan, according to Geo News.
The party’s general secretary Ameer ul Azeem confirmed that the attack did not harm the emir.
The JI’s official Twitter account stated that the incident was a suicide attack, and that the attacker had died.
