Britney Spears recently hinted on her Instagram account that her upcoming memoir, which is expected to reveal shocking details of her life, may take another year to hit the shelves. The book covers her early childhood, 13-year conservatorship, and previous romances.
Spears stated on Instagram, “I almost feel like my life in the business has always been that girl at school who was bullied and laughed at!!! But in my case there is no superior person to set it straight!!! My dad was supposedly the one who was supposed to protect my mind and heart from things of this matter but he was the main one who was secretly loving it!!! I think some people are wanting to hear my story…either through a book or what have you??? I’ve had to stop a couple of times!!! It may take me a year, maybe longer who knows…to share my story!!!”
The delay is reported to be due to concerns from some A-list celebrities who are worried about the possible disclosure of their secrets in the book. The Sun reports that several strongly-worded legal letters have been sent to the memoir’s publishers by those who have knowledge of Britney Spears.
One of the celebrities rumored to be concerned about the book’s contents is Justin Timberlake. The popular artist had a romantic relationship with Spears between 1999-2002. “Justin’s future is literally in the hands of Britney,” an insider told Radar Online. “He has a PR war room set up, but they can’t do anything until they read what she has to say.”
