Britney Spears expressed her joy over meeting her mother Lynne Spears again after 14 years. The singer stated that she feels “blessed” that they were able to mend their bond.
After extending her hand of friendship to her mother a few months ago, Britney’s mother Lynne travelled to Los Angeles to visit her daughter almost a year and a half after her conservatorship ended, which had been ongoing for 13 years.
Britney confirmed their reunion via an Instagram post where she shared a childhood photo of herself with her mother. She wrote, “My sweet mama showed up at my doorstep yesterday after 3 years…it’s been such a long time…with family there’s always things that need to be worked out…but time heals all wounds!!!” Britney hinted at reconciliation with her mom and called herself “blessed” that they could try to make things right after being able to communicate what she had held inside for a long time.
Britney was thrilled to accomplish one of her wishes which she had expressed in an old post. She had expressed her desire to have coffee with her mom after 14 long years and said, “Psss…I’m so blessed we can have coffee together after 14 years!!! Let’s go shopping afterward!!!”
Reports suggest that Lynne met her daughter at her home in Los Angeles that she shares with her husband Sam Asghari. Lynne had first met her friend and manager Cade Hudson before visiting her daughter. The reunion lasted for around 30 minutes. An insider confirmed that Britney knew about her mother’s visit beforehand and that they have been “texting more frequently” lately.
