Cate Blanchett, the famous Australian actress, appeared fashionable at the Kering Women In Motion Talk during the Cannes Film Festival. The 54-year-old actress looked stunning in a velvet blazer with satin lapels, combined with fitted black leather bottoms. She paired the blazer with a tucked-in white shirt, pointed-toe black heels, and simple gold jewellery: several banded rings and small gold hoops.
Cate attended the event with Coco Francini, her producing partner, whom she initially met on the Mrs Americana set. The two have been working together ever since. They both attended the festival to promote their recent film, The New Boy, where Cate not only acted but also produced the film.
Although the critics have mixed opinions about the movie, it premiered at the festival on Friday and is set to release in cinemas next month. Set in the 1940s, the movie depicts the story of an orphaned Aboriginal boy, played by a young star Aswan Reid. The story follows the boy as he enters a monastery run by Cate’s character, a renegade nun named Eileen.
