Schofield was seen in a car with his mother looking gloomy and dejected, likely still reeling from the news of his resignation. Reports have emerged that the decision had already been made on Friday, when his co-host allegedly gave him an ultimatum – either he would have to leave the show, or she would.
After coming to an agreement over text messages, Schofield resigned, on the condition that he would be given a solo project and potentially be considered for presenting other shows as well. However, sources say that he was left feeling as though he had been “hung out to dry,” and that his friendship with his co-host is now in tatters.
