David Zaslav, who is the chief of Warner Bros. Discovery, gave a graduation speech at Boston University where he faced strong protest from WGA strikers who chanted “pay your writers.” The protest was so intense that Zaslav had to pause his speech. Late Night with Seth Meyers writer Mike Scollins shared a video of the incident.

After the speech, Zaslav expressed his support for the writers’ strike and stated that he hoped the issue would be resolved in a way that recognizes the value of the writers.

Meanwhile, HBO CEO Casey Bloys also aims to settle issues with the Writers Guild of America strike in order to bring talent back to Hollywood and make the entertainment industry more entertaining.

The ongoing strike is the first writers’ strike in 15 years.
