Pop sensation Dua Lipa and her beau, French director Romain Gavras, made their relationship official at the Cannes Film Festival on May 19th, 2023. The couple was seen walking the red carpet for the premiere of Elias Belkeddar’s latest movie, Omar La Fraise (The King of Algiers), with the 27-year-old singer looking stunning in a black asymmetrical dress paired with high-heeled strappy sandals and earrings.
The pair was seen holding hands and laughing together while posing for photographs. This is the first time Lipa has walked the famed Croisette’s red carpet, despite attending events related to the festival earlier.
The couple came into the limelight in February after leaving a party in London together. They were also seen holding hands in Paris, sparking rumours of their relationship. Prior to Romain Gavras, Lipa was in a relationship with model Anwar Hadid.
Romain Gavras is known for his direction in some of the biggest music videos, including Kanye West’s No Church in the Wild, M.I.A.’s Bad Girls, and Mark Ronson and Miley Cyrus’ Nothing Breaks Like a Heart.
