Gold prices continued to increase in Pakistan on Monday as the global rate of the precious metal, which is considered a safe-haven asset, also surged.

The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA) reported that the price of gold (24 carats) rose by Rs1,100 per tola and Rs943 per 10 grams to reach Rs235,100 and Rs201,560, respectively.

At the same time, the international rate of gold rose by $5 to reach a value of $2,015 per ounce.
