The price of gold in Pakistan experienced a minor decline due to a drop in the international market on Friday. The optimism about the US debt limit deal that would prevent the world’s largest economy from defaulting resulted in the decline of gold prices.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the rate of 24-carat gold decreased by Rs. 1,000 per tola and Rs. 857 per 10 grams, settling at Rs. 232,600 and Rs. 199,417, respectively.

Meanwhile, the international price also fell by $12, settling at $1,964 per ounce.
