Comedian Hasan Minhaj is set to star in “It Ends with Us” alongside Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, according to Deadline. Minhaj, who is known for his work on “Patriot Act” and as a former correspondent for “The Daily Show,” will play the character of Marshall, a successful tech entrepreneur and the brother-in-law of the lead character, Lily Bloom.
The film, directed by Baldoni, is an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel of the same name, which was a bestseller in 2016. Lively will play Lily Bloom, a young woman who is starting her life after college and falls for a doctor named Ryle Kincaid, played by Baldoni. However, their relationship is complicated when Lily’s first love reappears in her life.
The movie is being produced by Alex Saks for Saks Picture Company and Jamey Heath for Wayfarer Studios. Jenny Slate and Brandon Sklenar are also involved, and executive producers include Lively, Hoover, and Steve Sarowitz. Filming is currently underway in New York City, where Lively was spotted last week with her new fiery red hair for the role.
