During an interview on Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert, Joe Jonas talked about his past relationship with Taylor Swift and shared that they are now “cool” with each other. Joe and his brothers, Nick and Kevin Jonas, also discussed Taylor’s dedicated fanbase.
Dax mentioned how her fans had taken over the comments section of an interview he did with Taylor’s previous ex-boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal, and asked Joe if he thinks her fans like him too. To which he responded, “I hope to think they like me”. Nick added, “No one messes with the Swifties,” and Joe continued, “Our fanbase is—we get it. We understand the passion you have behind your artist. I’m cool with Taylor. We’re cool.”
Joe confirmed that he has not received any backlash from Taylor’s fans, and that they have moved on from their past relationship. Taylor had also confirmed in a 2019 interview with The Ellen DeGeneres Show that there was no bad blood between them. She even joked about how she “put Joe Jonas on blast” during a previous appearance on the show.
Joe acknowledged Taylor’s apology during his interview on the Lorraine show, saying that they were both young back then and that he has moved on from it. He also shared that he believes Taylor has moved on as well, and that they are now all friends.
