Manoj Bajpayee, during an interview, referred to his upcoming film ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kafi Hai’ as a wake-up call. The courtroom drama is set to release on May 23.
When asked about his thoughts while signing controversial films, Bajpayee stated that if a story moves him emotionally and shakes up his conscience, it is an opportunity that cannot be missed. He then cited ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kafi Hai’ as an example.
Bajpayee elaborated, “I saw all of these opportunities in this story. A story that is important to be told. A story that concerns the safety and security of all the minor children. That minor child in this case is a girl. It can be your daughter, it can be your sister, anyone. So it’s a wake-up call. This film is a wake-up call to all of us, so that we ensure the safety and security of children.”
‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kafi Hai’ will make its premiere at the New York Indian Film Festival.
Reports suggest that the plot is an outcry against injustice and a case of molestation against a minor child. The film aims to shed light on the safety and security of children, causing major concern regarding the well-being of minors.
