Megan Fox, the renowned Hollywood Star, opens up about her struggles with body dysmorphia, stating that she finds it challenging to accept her body as others see it.
The actor said during an interview with Sports Illustrated, “I have body dysmorphia. I don’t ever see myself the way other people see me.” She went on to say that she has never loved her body at any point in her life and is on a constant “journey” to do so.
Despite growing up in a religious atmosphere where bodies weren’t even acknowledged, the 37-year-old harbored an “obsession” with her body image since childhood.
However, the actress clarifies that her upbringing did not cause her obsessive behavior. Megan’s struggle with “deep insecurities” is not exclusive to her, and she believes that people shouldn’t assume that thin, attractive individuals have perfect lives.
“We may look at somebody and think, ‘That person’s so beautiful. Their life must be so easy.’ They most likely don’t feel that way about themselves,” she added.
