Michael J. Fox recently opened up about a “bizarre” scene in the popular movie, Back to the Future.
In an interview with Variety, the Teen Wolf star admits that the mother-son plotline is what makes the scene so peculiar, with a woman swooning over her future son at the “Enchanted Under the Sea” dance in the 1950s.
Fox even goes as far as to say, “Not to be crude, but it’s a movie about almost ******* your mom, and she’s totally ready for it. Even at the time, I realized it was bizarre — plus Lea was pretty cute.”
Despite the strangeness of the scene, Fox acknowledges that people still respond to it because of its peculiarity.
In other news, Fox drew inspiration from Leonardo DiCaprio’s performance in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood during a recent interview regarding his retirement from acting.
The 61-year-old actor recalled a moment during The Good Fight shoot where he struggled with his lines due to his Parkinson’s disease. “I thought of Once Upon A Time in Hollywood,” he says, “There’s a scene where Leonardo DiCaprio’s character can’t remember his lines anymore.”
Fox goes on to describe the scene in the movie where DiCaprio’s character screams at himself in the mirror and compares it to his own peaceful realization that he couldn’t remember his lines.
