Kelly McKee Zajfen, a model, took to Instagram to express her gratitude towards her friend, Meghan Markle, for supporting her during her tough times. Zajfen called Meghan an incredible friend and mother in her post, praising her for being there for her after her son’s death. She made the post on Mother’s Day to commemorate her late son’s memory, who passed away last year. Meghan and Harry also donated $5,000 to a GoFundMe campaign, dedicated to Zajfen’s son’s memorial fund, in the name of their children, Archie and Lilibet.
The untimely death of Zajfen’s son, George, was a devastating loss for her family. He was found unresponsive in his home, leaving the family in shock and sadness. Zajfen is one of the co-founders of the Alliance of Moms, a community of philanthropists supporting pregnant and parenting teens in LA’s foster care system. This organization provides critical services, education, resources, and advocacy to help these young parents build a better future for themselves and their families.
Zajfen shared in her Instagram post, “As Mother’s Day approaches, I can’t help but think of my own #commUNITY of Motherhood. I instantly think of you Meg. How incredibly nurturing and warm and open you are. What an incredible friend and mother.”
She expressed her admiration for Meghan’s advocacy for those in need and her willingness to support those she loves. Zajfen thanked Meghan for joining this year’s campaign to support LA’s expectant and parenting foster youth and providing critical resources and advocacy to them.
