Unexpectedly, the Pakistani rupee experienced a significant recovery of Rs12.46 and traded at Rs286.50 against the US dollar in the interbank market on Friday.
At some point, the rupee even went up by over Rs12, and reached Rs286 per dollar. The currency, which had suffered a decline of 3%, or Rs8.71, down to an all-time low of Rs298.93 a day earlier, regained some of its ground.
