The upcoming film, “Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani”, will see legendary Bollywood actresses Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan share screen space for the first time ever.
During an interview with News18, Shabana Azmi expressed her sadness over not having more scenes with Jaya. She went on to mention that Jaya was the reason she joined the Film and Television Institute of India as she was impressed by her performance in a diploma film titled “Suman.”
Directed by Karan Johar, the film also stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in lead roles. Despite having different ways of thinking and different schools of thought, Shabana Azmi revealed that she had a great time working on the film.
Shabana added, “Doing the film was a ball. I completely surrendered myself to Karan Johar and Manish Malhotra who is the costume designer. If people like me, it’s to their credit and if they hate me, it will be their fault.”
The movie is slated to release in cinemas on July 28th, 2022.
