A clearance operation was carried out by the Frontier Corps in Balochistan’s Muslim Bagh area. Unfortunately, six soldiers and one civilian embraced martyrdom in the operation.
The operation was launched on Friday and the initial assault of terrorists was repelled early on Saturday morning. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released a statement in which it mentioned that the clearance operation also involved a hostage rescue operation to save three families from a residential block. The military’s media wing also stated that the terrorists did not even spare the children, and all six well-equipped terrorists were killed by the security forces.
As a result of the operation, seven innocent individuals, including a civilian, embraced martyrdom while six others, including a woman, were injured. Necessary intelligence follow-up is being carried out to arrest the facilitators and sponsors of the terrorists.
The security forces remain determined to prevent all attempts at sabotaging the peace, stability, and progress of Balochistan. In recent months, Pakistan has witnessed a surge in terrorist attacks, and the country’s civil and military leadership vowed to stand united against terrorists and eliminate them from the roots.
The National Security Committee (NSC) meeting concluded that an all-out comprehensive operation would be initiated with the help of the entire nation and government to eradicate terrorism from the country. The committee also reiterated its commitment to root out terrorism, which has seen an uptick after the banned outfits regrouped.
