Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour continued with a concert at Gillette Stadium on Friday, which caused thousands of fans to flock to the stadium, leading to significant traffic delays for the residents of Foxboro, Massachusetts.
According to Ann-Marie English, “For concerts, it’s a completely different group of people. Lots of them have never been here before; they don’t know where they’re going. It’s gridlock,” resulting in severe traffic congestion in and around the area.
As per NBC, the local residents avoided going outside as around one hundred thousand Swifties drove into the city for the megastar’s concert, leading to chaos on roads.
One of the local residents and Foxboro High School senior, Eddie Feldman, commented, “Chaos. That’s all I’m expecting.” While Dunkin employees, April Nisil and Ashley McCormick, who had worked during a concert the previous year, anticipated a heavy footfall during the Bad Blood singer’s concert and said, “I know for a fact we’re getting slammed. It’s going to be that hectic.”
In other news, Swift and Joe Alwyn have split up, which has left Alwyn distraught over the break-up and Swift’s budding romance with Matty Healy.
