On 21st May 2023, music has lost one of its true legends, Tina Turner, who passed away peacefully at the age of 83 at her home in Kusnacht near Zurich, Switzerland. Her spokesperson confirmed that she had been suffering from a long illness.
Tina Turner was a well-known vocalist and performer who earned the title of “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll”. Her electrifying performances and charisma on stage were admired by her fans all around the world. She gave several hits like The Best, Proud Mary, Private Dancer, and What’s Love Got to Do With It.
Initially, Tina’s career took off in the 1960s when she collaborated with her ex-husband, Ike Turner. The classic song River Deep, Mountain High was one of the hits they produced together. However, she gained immense popularity as a solo artist in the 1980s when she signed with Capitol Records. Her album, Private Dancer, went on to break all records by selling over 10 million copies, establishing her as a superstar once again.
