The Frontier Corps (FC) personnel engaged in an ongoing operation at a camp in Northern Balochistan have eliminated two militants, while three soldiers have embraced martyrdom and another three sustained injuries, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Friday.

The statement said that the terrorists initiated their assault on the security forces’ camp in Muslim Bagh area during the early hours of the day, and the operation is still underway as the exchange of heavy fire is taking place with the armed assailants.

ISPR further added that the security forces have cornered the terrorists into a building complex and are currently conducting the clearance operation to apprehend them.

Pakistan has been facing a series of terrorist attacks in recent months, and the country’s civil and military leadership has pledged to fight against the terrorists with unity and determination to eliminate them from the society’s roots.

In a National Security Committee (NSC) meeting last month, it was agreed to start an all-out comprehensive operation with the help of the entire nation and government to root out terrorism from the country.

The committee also repeated its commitment to eradicate terrorism, which has seen an increase after the regrouping of the banned outfits.
